The overall composition of the piece draws the viewers eye immediately to the rams horn and down the subject and the colours used (dark to light) are particularly helpful in this.

The subject herself appears thoughtful and farseeing with the rams horn and the beads in her hair creating a wild feeling to the piece. The style captures this beautifully with the minimalistic linework and delicate, subtle colours.

The colours in the subject are what creates the detail in the work and they really do bring out the untamed essence of the piece. The use of shadow in the piece add an artful sense of depth as do the white highlights.
However, it is the striking rendition of intensity in the girl/ woman that makes the artwork captivating.

Altogether an amazing piece!
